Tess Tyler needs a break. Weighed down by her high-pressure job and her demanding father, she’s left little time to take care of herself. But after a shocking discovery sends her spiralling, she flees to Wynmouth, the seaside town she fell in love with as a child, to escape it all.

With its sandy beaches, stunning rock pools and welcoming community, Tess feels like she can finally breathe again. And as she grows ever closer to local barman Sam, she dares to dream that she might never return to her real life. But when a familiar face returns to town, Tess realises that there are secrets in Wynmouth too, and that her own past may be about to catch up with her . . .

The Secret Seaside Escape is the perfect read this summer, promising sandy beaches, stunning rockpools and breath-taking romance. Perfect for fans of Carole Matthews and Sarah Morgan.

Let's go!
I'm packing up now and ready to move into Crow's Nest Cottage in Wynmouth and hopefully become part of this wonderful, friendly, seaside community.
The twists and turns of the different relationships, make for an entertaining read, which was very difficult to put down. At the same time I did not want it to end... Jill Batchelor

Perfect summer read!

What a fabulous summer book! It was just the tonic for the strange way life is at the moment (lockdown). I’ve read & enjoyed a couple of Heidi’s Christmassy books before and this was just as good if not my favourite. I loved the seaside town of Wynmouth & could almost smell the seaside and feel the sunshine from the descriptions. It reminded a lot of a place where we used to holiday when I was a child.
All the characters were so likeable & all had an intriguing storyline that will keep you guessing right to the end. Kateness

Another corker
Another wonderful book from Heidi. It’ll take you away from the strange times we find ourselves in and transport you to the seaside without having to leave your house. I can’t recommend this book highly enough. One of her best. Sheels

The escape we all need right now!
This was my first read by Heidi Swain but I feel like I've already been converted into a #swainette.
This little delight has so much to offer, including:
- A beautiful British setting
- Gorgeous, mysterious characters
- A long list of plot twists that just keep you guessing
I've laughed, I've cried, my jaw has dropped to the floor and I've devoured this little beauty very quickly by my standards.
I can't wait to read more by this author and I'm sure this too will be a best seller! I have loved it. 5 shiny stars, obvs! Karen Evans
An amazing read, with a few surprises that leaves you with a warm glow!
Another amazing and beautiful story from one of my favourite authors. A tale of of friendship and romance and the realities that arise in families. I was totally absorbed in the characters and their lives and I certainly didn’t see one or two things coming towards the end! Loved it and can’t wait for the next story that Heidi writes! Heart-warming story in an idyllic setting.
It’s no secret that I’m a self-confessed Swainette, and love her worlds so much that I really wish I could head off to Wynbridge without a moment’s notice. I have loved the journeys she has taken us on to Wynbridge, Wynthorpe Hall, Nightingale Square and now she has widened her world to take us to the seaside, namely Wynmouth. I just adore the worlds she has created and the wonderful characters who have inhabited those worlds..... Bookmadjo

A beautiful, uplifting novel!

Another fantastic novel from Heidi Swain and one that I have been very excited to read. Engaging from the very first page, through to the last, this is another Swain novel that I just did not want to put down. (Having children meant I had to, very reluctantly, but as soon as I had a spare moment my head was right back in it, dreaming of the beach.)..... HistoryGeek

Wonderful

What a wonderful book to read during these difficult times! I highly recommend this book there are no sad parts, just happy all the way through. I want to visit Norfolk now, especially to find the rock pools. Happy reading you won’t be disappointed. Ella

Loved the Escape
More twists and turns than a rollercoaster. Loved the seaside setting and the characters. Dreamed so many times over the years about escaping to a little cottage at the seaside, so I could easily imagine myself in the heroine’s shoes. Heidi Swain delivers a five-star read yet again. Jayne

She's done it again - another delightful read with charming characters and heart-warming storyline
Heidi Swain is one of my all-time favourite authors and I've devoured everything she's written so far. So, I was really excited to read this but also nervous because with a much-loved author your expectations are high and so there's always a small risk that the latest offering might not be quite as good you're hoping. I needn't have worried though as this was another hit..... Karen
Heidi's best book yet!
If I could give this more stars I would!
Anyone who knows me knows I'm a huge Heidi Swain fan, I recommend her to anyone who would listen and can't wait for each book to be released. I got this one early as a pre release and I have to say it is her best yet!
I instantly fell in love with the people, the place and everything else. I want to book the cottage and I want to holiday in Wynmouth!
Thank you Heidi for again releasing a fabulous book which makes me laugh, smile, cry and get angry and feel what the characters feel.
Each character had a great storyline and how it all came together was perfect too. It covers some very good topics and things that need talking about too. Lots of little twists which were lovely little surprises too.
All in all I think you can see that I loved this book and would definitely recommend. I would rate it higher if I could!

Left me full of warmth for my own childhood holiday memories...
I’m always overjoyed to see a new Heidi Swain novel, but when I saw this delicious burst of colour pop of a cover and realised we were heading to a whole new location – a seaside one at that – I was fit for bursting!..... Gem's Quiet Corner

A wonderful holiday read

Heidi Swain's 'The Secret Seaside Escape' is a romantic story about second chances, friendships and forgiveness. The setting is pure escapism which is captured by the descriptions so easily conjured up in the readers mind. The beachside cafe, pub and some of the locals could be found in many an English seaside town which makes the book relatable and fun.....Amanda-Jane Jack
