Best Summer Ever

Summer is in full swing when Daisy drives back into Wynmouth in her almost-clapped-out car, having left both her most recent job and the man her parents thought she was going to marry. Coming home could be just what she needs to move her life on.

At Wynbrook Manor, things are in disarray. Owner Algy isn’t getting any younger, and Daisy’s mum Janet, housekeeper at the manor, spends her days running around after him, while Daisy’s dad Robin, the gardener, has been let down by the person he had lined up to take care of the new cut-flower garden.

As Daisy tries to find her place at Wynbrook and in the village, she’s drawn to summer visitor Josh. But when he turns out to be not the person he appears to be, will the spark between them fizzle out? And with it, the chances of this turning into the best summer ever?

Perfect Summer Read
Daisy returns to Wynmouth, she has just broken up with her boyfriend and has left her job.
She keeps bumping into Josh who is visiting for the Summer, could this be the start of something ?
Glorious setting with wonderful characters, Wynbrook Manor was described beautifully and I would love to stroll round the gardens, I particularly liked Algy the owner of the Manor, a real character.
Filled with families, community and a secret, Best Summer Ever had me hooked from the first page to the last.
I would love to revisit Wynbrook Manor. Grace Power

A great summer read
I am very much a fan of this author and have read and own all her books so, when the opportunity arose to read an advanced copy of her latest book - Best Summer Ever , how could I resist. This is probably one of my favourite Heidi Swain books to date because as well as the main story, which revolves around Daisy, there are lots of little sub stories too- a possible romance between her best friends Nick and Penny, the search for the stray kitten (Luna) , Penny's summer adventure etc. I won't say much more because I do not want to give away too much. A Lovely Return Visit to Wynmouth
Heidi Swain is an auto-buy Author for me so I was thrilled to be given an early e-arc for her latest book. I was very excited to be back in the lovely coastal village of Wynmouth, having last visited in Christmas 2021. This latest book had all of the elements that I love about Heidi's books; a beautiful setting, loveable characters, a strong community feel, and of course a heart-warming Romance. Rebecca

A story that truly connects
Best Summer Ever by Heidi Swain is an absolute delight from start to finish! Once again, this author has crafted a heartwarming story filled with community spirit, endearing characters, and just the right balance of humour, romance, and emotional depth. Jera's Jamboree

Best Swain Ever
An uplifting story that showcases a second chance for Daisy as she returns back to her family home in Norfolk after discovering that her boyfriend was being unfaithful.
Daisy manages to swallow her pride and moves back into her parent’s home, taking on a summer job in the local pub, with the hope of finding out what she really wants to do with her life.
She literally bumps into Josh, a hot tourist who is visiting the area from America, and soon sparks start to fly between them. Maybe the summer will be the best ever after all? Sue Baker

Feel good story
I love, love, love Heidi Swain’s books. They are feel good stories set in idyllic locations; I was absolutely dreaming of summer on the north Norfolk coast. The characters are so well written with just a touch of jeopardy that has you rooting for them the whole time. I loved the addition of the cut flower garden as there isn’t anything else that represents a British summer better. E West
